Rocket Science
The eponymous debut recording from the quartet Rocket Science, recorded live at the Vortex in London. Rocket Science brings together four virtuosic instrumentalists: Evan Parker, Craig Taborn, Sam Pluta and Peter Evans. Together they perform an hour of intricate, dynamic and unusually beautiful improvised electro-acoustic chamber music.   Each member of the group is widely recognized as having pushed the expressive boundaries of his instrument, and together they chart new paths of both refinement and sonic power for improvised music.  Painstakingly mixed and mastered by Sam Pluta to bring out the detail and nuance of the music.
Subliminal Leaps
Baritone saxophonist Charles Evans' latest set of masterful and evocative chamber music, featuring soprano saxophone legend Dave Liebman, Ron Stabinsky (piano) and Tony Marino (bass). 12-tone melodies, free improvisation, pretty harmonies and noise are woven together into a seamless whole that is utterly unique and devoid of cliche.  Recorded in the resonant acoustics of St. Stephen's Church in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania.

The debut recording of Peter Evans’ “Zebulon” trio, recorded at and named after the now defunct Brooklyn club. Recorded over two nights in March 2012, the trio of Peter Evans (trumpet), John Hébert (bass) and Kassa Overall (drums) explores four new compositions by Evans in a rare instrumental format. Andrey Henkin of All About Jazz New York described the group’s original appearance at Zebulon in 2010 saying: “Three distinct species of the jazz genus came together to form some all-powerful mutant.” 78 minutes of dense, contrapuntal rhythmic improvisation. Available March 15 2013.
